Villa Tenang Gili Trawangan Island Lombok Indonesia

Villa Tenang is located on the beuatiful island of Gili Trawangan. Located just of the coast of the Indonesian island Lombok in the Lombok Straight. This pristine sand island is roughly 2km wide at it’s widest point and is completely circled in white sandy beaches. You could walk around the entire island in an hour or so.

There is so much to see and do on the island from scuba diving with turtles to dining on freshly caught seafood.

Gili Trawangan is the largest of Lombok’s Gili Islands and the only one to rise significantly above sea level. Measuring 3 km long and 2 km wide, it has a population of around 700.[citation needed] Trawangan means Terowongan (Tunnel) due to there is a cave tunnel built in Japanese occupation.[1] Of the Gilis, Trawangan has the most tourist facilities; the pub Tîr na Nôg claims that Trawangan is the smallest island in the world with an Irish pub. The most crowded part of Trawangan lies on the eastern side. It was previously administered under Lombok Barat Regency along with Senggigi until 2010 when the Gili islands came under the jurisdiction of the new North Lombok Regency (Kabupaten Lombok Utara)

On Gili Trawangan (as well as the other two Gilis), there are no motorized vehicles. The main means of transportation are bicycles (rented by locals to tourists) and cidomo (a small horsedrawn carriage). For traveling to and from each of the Gilis, locals usually use motorized boats and speedboats.

Villa Tenang is a private villa for rent suitable for family vacationers, family reunions, small groups of friends, and couples seeking privacy and tranquility. The rooms are designed and decorated to capture the local style of Indonesia and blend flawlessly with the environment.

Bedrooms
The villa consists of a 3 bedrooms each with private bathroom, all tiled and glass enclosed shower. Each bedroom has a king-size king-coil grade bed. The bedrooms have full sized robes and all of the trimmings you’d expect in 5 star accomodation. Two of the bedrooms open directly on to the pool area. Each bedroom has it’s own air conditioning unit and fully lockable doors.

Main living area
The living room is a great expance looking up into the magnificent coconut roof. The living room is furnished with a large L-shaped sofa in a practical and stylish microfibre fabric, facing the pool and dining room areas. The coffee table and TV stand are made of antique teak. The beautiful tall pitched teak ceiling provides a spacious quality feel to the room. The room is fitted with air conditioning. Wall lighting and two large ceiling fans are included.

TV area features a 42″ LED flatscreen TV, DVD player, Surrond sound audio system and satellite TV.

Kitchen
Unlike most rental villas, villa Tenang has a full, well equipped kitchen in open plan with the living room. The kitchen has plenty of cupboard space and the freestanding kitchen bar provides additional storage space as well as a divider towards the living room.

The modern appliances include an Electrolux oven and gas stove with extractor fan, a large LG fridge/freezer and a microwave oven. The double sink aids food preparation and cleaning. China and cutlery for six guests as well as overhead lighting is included.

Outdoor Dining
The newly built outdoor dining room currently seats 8 people The furniture is made of antique teak with rugged leather upholstery. The beautiful pitched teak roof makes for a luxurious and spacious feel, aided by the stylish Insenso lighting and newly fitted aluminium ceiling fan. The view of the garden and pool is something to be enjoyed with your dinner!

Pool Area
The center peice of the villa is the 15 meter private lap pool and surrounding garden. There is ample sunbaking area around the pool with sun chairs and 6 x 5 m gazebo. In addition there is a 500 sqm rear garden that features numerous coconut trees and other tropical vegetation.

A fully cooked breakfast is included in the nightly room rate.

Gili T – Fast Facts
There are no motorised vehicles, all transport is via foot, push bike or horse and kart.
- There are NO dogs, only a lot of cute cats.
- It is very kid friendly and safe
- The restaurants are great with a wide variety of cuisine and cost to choose from.
- The weather is what you would expect in the tropics, Dry season runs from March – October and wet from November to February. However it doesn’t rain any where near as much as Bali or Lombok.
